Perto S.A., a leading manufacturer of ATMs (Automatic teller machines) and cash dispensing machines from Brazil, inaugurated its very first overseas manufacturing plant in Mahindra World City (MWC), Jaipur. Perto S.A. is the largest subsidiary of the Digicon Group based in Gravatai, Brazil. Perto is a well-established and recognized name in Brazil; its consistent performance and client commitment have gained them various awards and recognitions in Brazil.

Spread across 26 acres of land in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) of MWC Jaipur, the plant will manufacture 500 ATMs per month in phase 1 and 1500 ATMs per month at full capacity. With its first state of the art establishment outside Brazil, Perto joins the ranks of leading companies such as JCB, Gaston Energy and many more, who have set up operations in MWC Jaipur to cater to the fast growing Indian market.

''As we launch the Perto factory in Jaipur, we undoubtedly take another significant step towards a solid commercial and investment relationship, based on a high technological content and added value, setting a benchmark'' said Brazilian Ambassador Tovar Da Silva Nunes at the inauguration.

The new plant will commence operations with an initial investment of approximately Rs.  300 crores and is expected to provide employment to over 1,000 persons.
